In order to prevent Erica developing permanent posterior crossbites, the Orthodontist recommended Erica to undergo 18 months of jaw widening procedure (to increase overall width of the upper jaw by 6mm). This morning the jaw expansion braces was installed. Starting from tomorrow, daddy will be adjusting the device periodically, we'll do this for Erica's future beautiful teeth and big smiles! Thanks to mommy for taking these pictures!
I get my orthodontic expander a week before school starts and this post was helpful.
