1st time smoking

Someone in our community dumped an old smoker out, we took it home and took it apart, gave it a good sanding, cleaning, new coat of high temperature paint, replaced wood fixtures and it's just like a new one. tonight we fired it up the 1st time to smoke some ribs, pork belly and a piece of salmon. looks like it works as good as a new one too!

Museum of Western Film History, Lone Pine

We stopped by the Museum of Western Film History after lunch at Lone Pine. It's the area where dozens of famous cowboy movies were filmed.

Manzanar National Historic Site

After weekend stay at PMC, we drove almost 3 hours to the East side of Sierra, stay a night at Ridgecrest. It was warm at the Valley, the girls managed to have some fun in the pool. After a great continental breakfast, we drove 1.5 hours north to the Manzanar War Relocation Camp where 10,000 Japanese American were forced to reside after Japanese Empire bombed Pearl Harbor.

Golden Deli

We visited Bonnie/ Danny'S house on Sunday afternoon after shopping at San Gabriel area. It was a hot day, we decided to try out a Vietnamese restaurant in San Gabriel, turned out to be an excellent place, Helen had Bun, Erica had Pho, Meimei had rice and I had a sandwich, will definitely visit again.

Erica's 8th grade promotion @ Colina Middle School

Erica's last day at middle school! So proud of her achievements! She will be taking High School classes this summer and will start her 9th grade at Westlake High! Keep up the great work sweetie! Love ya!

SuperCut Sunday

Girls had their hair cut today at SuperCut. Vivian trimmed a few inches off but Erica decided to have a new hair style, she trimmed off 12" of her hair and donated to Locks of Love. Both girls love their new hair!
