A very cool Sunday afternoon at the Ventura Beach

It's been scorching hot in most part of Southern California these few days, many places like Woodland hills & San Fernando Valley were in triple digits... We drove 15 miles north to Oxnard and had Popeye's Louisiana Chicken for lunch, then we went another few miles north and spent a couple hours at the Ventura Beach. The weather in the beach communities was about 25-30 degrees F cooler than the Valley weather. What a nice place to chill out! The weather will start to cool down significantly starting from tomorrow.

Erica is on 2 wheels now!

I was so determined to teach Erica how to ride a bike last weekend... She wanted the training wheels to be put back on so bad but I was very firm with her that if she wants to ride a bike, it's going to be only 2 wheels! After 20 minutes of holding her shoulders, chasing breathlessly right behind her and coaching her, she started riding on her own! Her happiness on her face was so genuine & beautiful! I was so proud of her!

Making good progress in swim lessons!

After 4 weekend classes, both Erica & Vivian showed great improvement in swimming. Next Saturday will be their last class for the beginner's course, we will continue to let them progress into the next level...

Little Mermaids

We joined the Miller Family YMCA a month ago and we are swimming there 3-4 times a week, mostly in the evening during weekdays. The girls attend beginner's swimming lessons every Saturday, hopefully they will know how to swim by the end of the Summer. Here are some shots of our little mermaids at the pool.

Saturday afternoon at the Oaks

We've been invited to Caitlyn San's 7th birthday party at the Moorpark College teaching zoo. The girls had lots of fun meeting some old friends and enjoyed a delicious lunch. After the party, we went to the Oaks and the girls were acting as models for daddy again... This time, daddy was testing his new Micro 4/3 camera and the result was excellent! Check out a few pictures taken at the mall...

More testing on daddy's new toys

After testing the E-PL1 and 5D, daddy took the girls to the Peppertree Park in the late afternoon and test out the new Fz-28 with it's Leica Vario-Elmarit. While it's 720 HD video was less impressive than the ZS-3, it's still images are very sharp at all focal lengths, colors are vivid too. By the way, both girls had their hair permed 1st time couple weeks ago!

Testing daddy's new toys...

Daddy was in the camera shopping spree last few weeks... Besides over a dozen of different digital point & shoots and DSLRs we already have, we now have full-frame and Micro 4/3 cameras with lots of very nice lenses! Daddy has done some candid shots with his new E-PL1 and 5D with his two favorite models and the result was stunning, more photo sessions must be scheduled with his two supermodels!
