Sunday afternoon at the Getty Center

Erica won the 1st place of 1st grade drawing competition last week, the price was a free parking ticket at the Getty Center. Both girls wanted us to take them there this weekend.

It's a very sunny Sunday, a perfect day to drive down there and spend a couple hours. There's a Da Vinci show which we all enjoyed very much.

We found a shaded area at the lawn and took some pictures to share with everyone...

Vivian lost 2 front teeth!

It's been a while since we last post something on the blog, everybody has been very busy but we are all doing well except Vivian. Vivian's front teeth has been bugging her for a while, she has infection on the root of her left front tooth and a big chip has fallen off from her right front tooth when she was eat gum ball. We took her to the dentist and the dentist has suggested to get both front teeth extracted. Our little girl was very brave and she had the teeth taken out yesterday, mommy was waiting outside at the waiting room in the dentist office. Today is a brand new day for Vivian, the pain has gone and she's happy camper again! Daddy took some pictures of his sweet girls right before sunset.

Brunswick Zone fun!

It's Sunday noon and we were at Erica's classmate Brooklyn's 7th Birthday bowling party at the Brunswick Zone. It was a lot of fun for the kids! Cheese pizza, soda, birthday cake and most importantly, the goodie bags! We had a fun time with everybody!

Too bad mommy wasn't here, she's in Hong Kong and China for business till the 30th, we miss her!

Vivian turns 5 today

Daddy was at Marina Del Rey attending a Marketing research focus group tonight. The meeting lasted till 9:10pm, got home before 10pm, Vivian was waiting all night and was so happy to see daddy finally got home! We sang birthday song for Vivian and shared Vivian's mint ice-cream chocolate cake. Our little girl was so proud that she is 5 now!

San Francisco Trip

This was our girls' 1st trip to Northern California and it was also their longest road trip...

We left home on on Friday, dropped by Solvang and had a great lunch at the Andersen's, we also visited an Ostrich/Emo farm, this was our first close encounter with Ostriches and Emos! We stayed our 1st night at King City. Next morning we visited the Aquarium and the Cannery Row in Monterey Bay, we had our Chinese New Year eve dinner at a Japanese restaurant in Daly City; a town south of San Francisco. On our 3rd day, we visited the Marina area, Pier 39, the Golden Gate Bridge, Lombard Street... We went to Chinatown in the evening and had a great dinner there. Lots of people set off firecrackers all night in the Chinatown, it was so loud! On the 4th day, we spent our last 1/2 day visited the California Academy of Sciences at the Golden Gate Park before driving all the way back to the Southern California. We got home safely before 9pm, it was a wonderful mini vacation!

Girls play day with Sarah

Today we invited Erica's classmate Sarah over to our place for a play day. The girls had a lot of fun with their friend, watched KungFu Panda, made candy necklaces, played Dunkadoos, ate lots of chocolate and went to Souplantation for dinner. We will try to arrange more play days for the girls.

We've got 2 hamsters!

Erica and Vivian were so excited when mommy took them to the Petsmart and bought two male Russian Roborovski hamsters on Sunday evening! Daddy helped to set up the new hamster house and put in the girls room. Erica named her hamster Whiskers & Vivian named hers Hamstee. The little creatures are 3 months old and they are as cute as buttons!
