The Legoland & Water Park

Our 2nd stop was Legoland & the new water park. We drove down to Oceanside late evening after returning from Las Vegas, stayed a night there. We were at the gate next morning a little pass ten. This was the girls 2nd visit to the park, we were last there 3 years ago... The girls were able to get on many rides in the park. Their most favorite was of course the new water park! Water sides, lazy river, sand pool... The weather was so nice there and we stayed close to 6pm before leaving the park, we had a big dinner at the TGIF before head back home.

Tahiti & M Resort at Las Vegas

Both girls are confident swimmers after couple months swimming at the local Y! There's only a little over a week before the girls start school, we took a weeks off and took the girls to check out some fancy pools and the water park. Our first stop is a 3 day 2 night trip to Las Vegas. We stayed at the Tahiti Spa & Resort and the new M Resort & Casino. Awesome hotel rooms and pools! We had so much fun and we definitely want to go back again!

Ventura Aquatic Center

Erica was sick on the day their summer camp class had a field trip to the Aquatic Center in Ventura, we took the girls there the following Sunday... It's always sunny down here in Southern California but the weather was much cooler than we were expecting that day and it was quite windy, the girls spent a fun couple of hours there.

A very cool Sunday afternoon at the Ventura Beach

It's been scorching hot in most part of Southern California these few days, many places like Woodland hills & San Fernando Valley were in triple digits... We drove 15 miles north to Oxnard and had Popeye's Louisiana Chicken for lunch, then we went another few miles north and spent a couple hours at the Ventura Beach. The weather in the beach communities was about 25-30 degrees F cooler than the Valley weather. What a nice place to chill out! The weather will start to cool down significantly starting from tomorrow.

Erica is on 2 wheels now!

I was so determined to teach Erica how to ride a bike last weekend... She wanted the training wheels to be put back on so bad but I was very firm with her that if she wants to ride a bike, it's going to be only 2 wheels! After 20 minutes of holding her shoulders, chasing breathlessly right behind her and coaching her, she started riding on her own! Her happiness on her face was so genuine & beautiful! I was so proud of her!

Making good progress in swim lessons!

After 4 weekend classes, both Erica & Vivian showed great improvement in swimming. Next Saturday will be their last class for the beginner's course, we will continue to let them progress into the next level...

Little Mermaids

We joined the Miller Family YMCA a month ago and we are swimming there 3-4 times a week, mostly in the evening during weekdays. The girls attend beginner's swimming lessons every Saturday, hopefully they will know how to swim by the end of the Summer. Here are some shots of our little mermaids at the pool.
