Pogo maniac!

Vivian found a brand new Pogo stick at a local yard sale last week for $4. She spent a few minutes every afternoon teaching herself how to ride it... Within a week, she has mastered it, now she has to hop with it every evening after coming back from the summer camp!

Pre-4th of July trip to Solvang and Santa Barbara

We haven't been visiting Solvang and Santa Barbara for a while, it's the 4th of July weekend so we decided to drive down to the Ostrichland to feed some Ostriches and Emos. We visited Solvang and found tons and tons of Mainland Chinese tourists there. We dropped by Santa Barbara Pier and enjoyed some delicious seafood before headed home.

Vivian's Tie Dye project

We got the kit from Walmart for $3.99 and we also got two white T-shirts to try out doing tie dye at the backyard. It was easier than I was expecting, result came out pretty good, Vivian wore one of her tie dye T-short to the camp the next day!

Two weeks with daddy

Mommy took Erica to Hong Kong for vacation and Mommy stayed in Hong Kong for two weeks and Erica is staying in Hong Kong still end of August! Vivian & daddy were all by ourselves for two weeks here at home. Things went well and Vivian has been a great girl!

Take your kids to work day

I signed up for both girls but Erica could not come because she was having her finals on English and Social Studies. Vivian was so excited and she has been waiting for the opportunity to visit Mattel since I started on last September. It was a very fun day for Vivian, started with continental breakfast in the morning, then visited the Design Center, met lots of designers, had lunch with daddy at the cafeteria, then attended afternoon sessions at the studios and toy testing lab. It was a fun day for Vivian. Sorry can't post any pictures inside the Design Studios.
