Meeting Wendy & her family at the cabin

It's been almost 30 years since I last saw Wendy when we were both studying at PolyDesign! It was a great gathering at our cabin over the weekend. Wendy and her husband came to visit with their daughter Brittany (13) and son Brendan (10)! We did BBQ dinner on Saturday and went hiking at Mt. Pinos on Sunday morning. It was so nice to have a chance to meet up finally in person and catch up with each other...

Camping at Malibu Creek State Park

It's been 5 years since we last went camping. We had reserved a site a month and half ago and planned to go camping with Chen's family. It was a beautiful Friday afternoon (July 18th), both families arrived at around 6pm. The girls helped and set up the tents quickly. Katelyn's dad prepared delicious sausage spaghetti and beef Fajitas for dinner, we grilled a bunch of BBQ beef and chicken on the stick to share. The girls made some S'mores and played with fire at the fire pit after dark, we went hiking in the dark after that, it was a lot of fun! We all slept well at night, Chien cooked up sausages, eggs and bacon strips for breakfast, we all made breakfast burritos with it! We went hiking for a couple of hours, the girls had fun at the pond and got all wet! We packed up the stuff and left the site at noon, drove to a nearby McDonald's for lunch before heading home.

4th of July weekend

It was a great 4th of July weekend we had! We got invited to Bonnie & Danny's house for the 4th of July BBQ gathering, kids had fun at the waterslide in the backyard, we had tons of great food in the evening! On the next day we invited Chen's family to our cabin for the weekend, it happened that San's family was up at their mountain house over the weekend as well. 4 good friends since kindergarten had a great gathering at our cabin and spent hours of fun time together! They played games, watched movies and ate lots of food! They all went fishing couple hours before sunset and caught lots of fish! All girls went to the pool and swam for a hour and half on Sunday morning while parents are relaxing on the lounge chairs in the shade. After lunch at the cabin, the girls went to San's house to play while we chatted with Mr. & Mrs Chen at our back patio... We picked up the girls at 4:45pm and all 3 families drive to Souplantation in Simi Valley and continue our dinner party! It was a fun packed weekend!

Matryoshka dolls or Muslim girls?

I asked the girls to take a shower before dinner, they came out with their panties and PJ covering their heads, looked funny, took some shots with my phone to share... Not sure who's idea what it but it's pretty creative.
