Sleeping Beauties

It's Sunday night... For some reasons, the girls decided to share the bunk bed tonight. I told them the bed is too small to fit both of them but the girls convinced me that it's going to be fine. I climbed up their bed in the middle of the night and snapped a few shots of two beauties soundly in sleep.

Crazy Hat Day

Tomorrow is Lang Ranch summer camp's Crazy Hat Day... Our Spring 2012 Toy Show is over and we were taking down the display and toy samples today at the showroom. I grabbed a few Funnoodles, a Cute 'N Crafty foam model and some scrap foam boards from the shop... We spent a couple hours tonight on the Crazy Hat project, both girls had fun and can't wait to show off in school tomorrow!

Feather Extensions

It seems to be a trendy thing in school these days and the girls have been asking daddy to get these for a while... Vivian picked Deep Blue Grizzly Hair Feathers and Erica picked Pink Turquoise Grizzly Hair Feathers. It's Sunday morning and daddy put them on the girls carefully. It's so happy to see two happy faces on Father's Day!

Vivian through the fish-eye lens

Vivian wanted daddy to take some fish-eye pictures of her at the "Rocky Mountain"- a place at the back of our condominium where the girls likes to hang out on Saturday morning, picking rocks, catching rolly pollies & grasshoppers...

Erica's new bike!

Erica has way outgrown her old 16" bike and it's time for her to get a new bike and pass her old bike to her little sister who just learned how to ride a two wheeler a week ago. Erica picked a beautiful 2011 20" Giant "Bella" which she absolutely loves!

Little Vivian is also very happy about her "new" bike, we have installed a new bottle holder and will get her a set of new black tires because Erica has already worn out the old set of white tires by "drifting" too much! Maybe we will add a basket or something to customize Vivian's "new" ride.

I really love the quality of Vivian that she never complains about inheriting Erica's old toys, old clothes and shoes, she simply said "we take turns"!

Welcome to the Jungle!

Erica won the 1st place twice in a row on Westlake Hills Elementary Family Fun Day Art Contest! The name of the theme was "Welcome to the Jungle". Erica spent two evenings and used pencil for the draft, then color the drawing with color markers, water colors and black fine point pen. This year she won the 1st place in 2nd grade and last year she won the 1st place in 1st grade. Drawing is one of Erica's favorite leisure activities, we hope she can keep it up and continue to improve.

Westlake Hills open day 2011

May 19 was Westlake Hills annual open day. Teachers and the Kids decorated their classroom with science projects, artwork, pictures, crafts and book reports...

Erica was in room 13 with Mrs. Rose and Mrs, Rudas. Vivian was in room 18 with Mrs. Pinto.

Erica's school play

Erica's class (Room 13) has been practising on a play for over a month, the name of the play is called "Journey of the red eyed tree frogs and the little Jaguar". It was their show time on June 8th. We were invited to attend the play at 6:30pm. Erica's role was narrator #3 and Jaguar #3. The show was a very long one, it lasted over 40 minutes. Every kid did a great job and the show was a big success!

Vivian is on two wheels now!!

I have been dreaming of family bike riding for many years. I taught Erica how to ride on two wheel last July, I have been trying to convince Vivian to learn it but with no success, she kept telling me that she's not ready until yesterday... It was late Sunday afternoon and I still had some energy, I asked Vivian if she wanted to learn riding on two wheels, she agreed to go without any hesitation. I remember last year it took Erica approximately 20 minutes to learn, Vivian was able to ride freely by herself in about 20 minutes too, I was so happy! I think towards the end of the summer, both Erica and Vivian will need to have new and fancy bikes!

My poor legs were so sore this morning after all those running after Vivian yesterday... Again, I'm out of shape!
